Assemblies of God church Kodambakkam had its humble beginning in 1969 headed by Ps.Eliezer. In 1977 Rev.Charles Aaron took over the church with just 15 members as Ps.Eliezer entered God's kingdom.
With his fervent prayers and the grace of God in just three years the church grew to a strength of 200 believers.
In 1990 a second service was started to cater to the growing number of believers who were 1500 in number then. In the same year The English service was introduced with 60 members.
Gradually the Hindi and Telugu services were added for the Glory of God. In 2009 by the utmost grace of God the congregation grew and multiplied with people of various backgrounds attending and worshipping God.

The mantle of leadership fell on him after the demise of his dad Rev. V. Charles Aaron. The assemblies of God Executive committee, unanimously appointed Rev. C. Rufus Cliff Victor as the senior pastor for Rose of Sharon AG Church. He was installed as senior pastor on May 1st 2022 by the then Assistant Superintendent Pastor of Assemblies of God--Rev. T.S. Rajasekar.
Rev. Rufus Cliff Victor is the Senior Pastor of Rose Of Sharon Assembly of God Church. He lives as a Christ- like example to the church and the people of church. His constant prayer and devotion to the Lord, leads him on the path of spiritual progress.
Rev. Rufus is married to Mrs. Priya Rufus and they are blessed with two children. Their son Samuel Aaron and Shalom Myrtle are doing their degree and also serve the Lord with their parents in the church.
A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a Great Church.
We live to magnify God by serving people, reaching out and building them as followers of Jesus who will do the same.
